Trust Me: A small-town Single dad

May 11, 2022 in my point of view

Trust Me: A small-town Single Dad

She’s in town to find herself, not lose her heart to a single dad.

All Kayla Jones is good at is work. So, when her friend talks her into taking a solo vacation in a beach town, work remains her foremost thought, and she rear-ends a stranger’s truck while on a business call. Having a nervous breakdown in front of the handsome driver wasn’t part of the plan—neither was getting her Airbnb reservations messed up.

After his wife walked away from their family, single father Tucker Boudreau’s priority is taking care of his son, even if it means running a daycare. When his neighbor asks him to host an overflow guest, Tucker isn’t prepared to fall in love with the beautiful tourist—yet from their first encounter, he feels an irresistible connection with Kayla.

But even though she seems to reciprocate his feelings, she’s never been around kids, and his puppy terrifies her. So what happens when they realize they can’t be apart, especially when her vacation ends and she gets a promising call that could heighten her career?
Tucker has fought for love before. Does he have it in him to fight for another chance at love?

Welcome to Chapel Cove, Oregon, where life begins at forty.

Stunning coastline, a harbor against life’s storms, and a welcoming community await in Chapel Cove. A place where those hurt by challenges, disappointments, and failures or reminded of their unfulfilled hopes and dreams can make a fresh start. And, if they’re brave enough to accept it, maybe also find a second chance at love, if only they’ll allow God to safely anchor them in their hearts’ home? Discover this small town filled with love, hope, and faith, in Chapel Cove, a series of sweet and clean standalone Christian romances. Join us in Chapel Cove today!

    my point of view:

I am so excited to be back in Chapel Cove! How awesome is it to have a new author join into the series! I have read several of Rose Fresquez’s books, and I promise you will not be disappointed in anything she writes…….but for me, this has been so much fun to get back to all the people I adore on the Oregon Coast and meet some new ones!

I also have a soft spot for single parent stories, and this one is no exception. It’s almost hilarious the way Kayla has no idea what to do with or act around children. But kids have a way of speaking straight from the heart and stealing your own while they are at it!

Tucker is such a great dad, changing his whole life plan to raise his son alone, he just melts your heart. He and Kayla must find a way to bring their two very different lives together if they want to follow God’s plan for a wonderful forever after!
