Hope needs more hope. Faith needs more faith. They both need a whole lot of love. Two sisters. One summer. Multiple problems.Younger sister Hope has lost her job, her car, and her boyfriend all in one day. Her well-laid plans for life have gone sideways, as has her hope in God. Older sister Faith is finally getting her dream-come-true after years of struggles and prayers. But when her mom talks her into letting Hope move in for the summer, will the stress turn her dream into a nightmare? Is her faith in God strong enough to handle everything? For two sisters who haven’t gotten along in years, this summer together could be a disaster, or it could lead them to a closer relationship with each other and God. Can they overcome all life is throwing at them? Or is this going to destroy their relationship for good?
Very creative idea to use the words/names Faith and Hope in tandem with each other.
Yes, I so agree! We all need Faith and Hope in our lives, and Amy Anguish writes this beautifully using their names and meanings throughout the story.
Thank you, Paula. I love a book with feeling and what better than siblings. It’s always fascinating to see what their issues are and how they handle them and hopefully, work them out. I am looking forward to reading this book. Paula makes you want to get it start reading it right away.
I also look forward to reading Amy’s books. I always love to find a new author to me.
Thank you ladies!
Thank you, Kathy! Your words simply warm my heart. I do believe you will appreciate this story as much as I did!
Thank you for those sweet words about my story, Paula. I am so glad you liked it. I hope all your readers will love it just as much.
It was my pleasure, Amy, so glad to have found another Christian author I love to read!
Faith and hope can be elusive at times. And the less faith we have, the less hope we have. The two are tied together, just like sisters. The book sounds like a winner and I’m always happy to discover a new-to-me author.
Amen, Sherri! I hope you enjoy!
Faith and Hope sounds like a great book. If I had a super power it would be to do things at the speed of light. My Husband got me hooked on the TV show “Flash.” I would love to have his super power. Could you imagine how fast you could get things done and read books. I would at least be able to keep up with my grandbabies. They are 1 & 2 years old!
How wonderful for you, Dorothy! I can just imagine how that super power would come in handy with those two precious grandbabies!
I’ve never considered having a super power, but I think mine would have to do with words: using the right words at the right time to do the most good. Of course, if I had a super power, I’d depend on God less.
Faith and Hope are sisters, and I think they need to discover love. “And now abide faith, hope, and love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Cor. 13:13
So nice to meet you, Beth! Very good observation about depending “on God less”…sometimes we need to look at the ‘whole’ picture instead of focusing on one small aspect. Thank you so much for your perspective!
I can relate to not being a football fan!! As a native Floridian, where there are major football rivalries between college teams, I could care less!!! I like baseball, and can tolerate basketball, but that’s it!! Thank you once more, Paula, for introducing another new to me author!! The book sounds good! I don’t know what super power I’d want! Maybe speed reading, though!!
AHH OH NO, Trudy! I love football…….. I don’t know if I’d want the speed reading super power, lol, I like to savor my books, hahaha! Now if I could add more hours to the day……..you know, giving me more time to read, well, that might be cool for me!
would love to win a print copy! thanks!
Good to see you again, Lual! You have been so quiet lately, lol!
This is a new author for me! The book sounds ah-mazing! I really love the books that make me feel too so this sounds right up my alley.
I have had to pick a super power many times in discussions and I am going to stick with my “normal” answer – I want to be able to talk to animals. It would make it so much easier to do rescue work if I could talk to the rescues! Easier to find their home, or to treat injuries, and to calm them, find them new homes, and so much more. Plus with this super power I wouldn’t have to worry about invading other’s privacy or anything. 😜
What a lovely super power idea, Erica! I hope you enjoy this story by Amy Anguish as much as I did!
This is a great interview and Amy Anguish is a great writer!! I will be looking for this book, it sure sounds like a good one! Thank you for the interview. God Bless you all.
So nice to meet you, Alicia! Thank you for sharing with us today!
I don’t think I’ve read anything by Amy, but I’d love to! The story sounds very interesting.
A super power I’d love to have is the ability what I now can’t do, since I’m disabled.
Aw, Linda, I hear you on that super power! I will keep you in my prayers. Hope you get to read this story!
Faith and Hope sounds awesome!!
You’re a new author to me and I would love to read you! I loved faith inspired books that warm the soul and this looks like one!
If I had a super power it would be to discover other people’s deepest need and desires so I could help them achieve them!
Hello, Paty! What an interesting twist on a super power! You all have so many cool ideas! Thank you so much for stopping by!
This book sounds like a great read. Thank you, Paula, for the introduction to a new to me, author.
If I could have a super power, I would like it to be one which enables me to get all the homeless, housed, clothed, fed and the opportunity for them to find work. This is my passion and I donate a large portion of my royalties to this cause….but give it directly to the homeless myself, in the form of items they need.
Hi, Carmina, what a thoughtful super power! Thank you so much for sharing such a heartwarming message with all of us!
Sounds like a very good read! I added to my Goodreads.
Ok..my super power..it would be to heal people if their anger. Ok, I know, sounds very Pollyanna. But, there is just to many people running around with useless pent up anger. Imangine if it were gone!!
Amen to that, Louetta! Too many angry folks in the world these days!
My elder sister died at birth. And I have no younger siblings. So I’ve always felt a little cheated.
The sister bond is one I envied my best friend who had three sisters. Will look forward to reading this story about sisters.
How sad, Judith….I feel cheated being an only child too. I was blessed with many close cousins growing up, but it’s not the same.
Oh, superpower? Helping people forgive. Forgiveness is the key to loving God.
That is an inspiring super power, Judith….I would be first in line to receive that gift from you!
I just want to thank Amy Anguish once again for this great book and giveaway! The randomly chosen winner is Susan Bates!
