New Set from Alexa Verde!! Dangerous Secrets!! Give Away!!

February 11, 2022 in my point of view

Dangerous Secrets: A Three Book Set of Christian Romantic Suspense

Sweet, wholesome books about faith, love, and murder!
Welcome to Rios Azules, a small south Texas town, where rivers and emotions run deep, and the secrets are deadly.

    SCENT OF DANGER
To find her missing sister, small-town cop Maya Hutchinson risks her life by posing as her glamorous twin. Under escalating attacks, Maya accepts protection from dashing senator’s son, Connor McNamara. Cop turned PI, Connor McNamara has his own secret mission and is forced to choose between family loyalty and love. When the scent of danger draws near, will Connor and Maya survive long enough to forgive and accept each other?

    Amazon review:

Alexa Verde again brings us a heart stopping, suspense filled novella. This novella packs a lot in fewer words.
Maya and Connor race across Texas trying to find Maya’s twin and solve the mystery of why she is missing.
I loved the , characters and the Texas setting.
Maya and Connor share God’s love and forgiveness and it helps their journey.
The story line was heart wrenching and I loved the ending.
Alexa is a good storyteller and I look forward to more by this author.

    DANGER UNDER THE MISTLETOE
Eager to heal after losing her husband, security consultant Rachel Evans moves to the small Texas town of Rios Azules. When one of her clients is found murdered under the mistletoe and her rental is broken into, the former thief realizes danger has found her once again. Her neighbor’s widowed son volunteers to help her. But as Rachel’s attraction to him grows, can she trust him with her heart – or her secret – before someone takes her life?

    Amazon Review:

I love this book. The characters are amazing and they have so much love for one another and they are always there for each other. Alexa did an amazing job with this book and the whole series is just unbelievable. I strongly recommend the Danger series, you will not regret it.

MISSING AND IN DANGER (previously published as Heart Restored)
After her fiancé died in her arms, Liv Knox gave up on romance and now dedicates her life to her ranch. But when a friend needs her expertise as an ex-runaway and a former PI, she agrees to help maths teacher Diego Laguardia find his missing daughter. Now, not only does Liv have to draw on her traumatic memories, she also struggles with her untimely attraction to reserved and kind Diego. When someone makes it clear they might die if they don’t stop the search, can she and Diego solve the mystery in time to get a second chance at love?

    my point of view:

I am so blessed to have found this amazing author – Alexa Verde – and to be able to call her friend! She writes some of the most amazing stories that go straight to your heart, well, my heart, anyway! I don’t know how she manages to capture the depth of pain and suffering these characters go through, but I can tell you, she is spot on. I say it all the time, I love a book that can make me FEEL….I have my reasons for that. I know what it is like to blame oneself for other’s sufferings, and I know what it is to have a wall built so solidly around your heart for so long you cannot even remember the last time you felt something….but I digress.

Lets talk about Liv and Diego! Liv was first introduced in Heart Healed to us as the tough rancher that prefers horses to humans. I knew even then that this woman would eventually have a special place in my heart! Liv has been through so much, from childhood through her teens, and as an adult, that most people would be broken beyond repair! It takes the disappearance of Kylie, a teenager she does not even know to break through her shell and force her to help in the search, knowing what the young girl faces being a runaway on her own.

Diego is such a mess himself, with his own heartaches from a past he’d rather forget, now just when he finds out he has this amazing daughter, she runs away and is in possible danger! Diego is way out of his element here, I mean what’s a math teacher to do? There are no algorithms to solve this problem. When his half brother, known to us as Rat, sends Liv to him because God said to, well, who is he to argue with that? But does he have to be so attracted to Liv, all the while trying to find his daughter, and keep everyone from being hurt by death threats?

The journey these two have to take is both heart wrenching and beautiful at the same time. Being believers does not make us all knowing with wisdom and light, sometimes we really need to dig deep into ourselves and take a step out in faith, and this story is a reminder to all of us that there are times when we all need to have a little more faith in ourselves, just as we place so much faith in our Lord and Savior!

Three complete romances full of love, faith, and danger to warm your heart and set it racing!

I love reading mystery books like these – and having a Christian basis is a plus! When I read them, my mind is drawn away from issues I’m facing; and yet I often find a biblical basis for resolving those issues!

I love all of Alexa’s stories, be they CCR or (Christian) Romantic Suspense. CRS accounts for about 25% of my reading, at a rough guess. Sometimes I just want something more than a CCR…..lol. The box set and series mentioned in this blog were all incredible. I heartily agree with everything Paula Marie said!

Danger or mystery in a story gives the author a chance to express themselves in a different way in these books. As a reader I love being able to read the story and become part of the book by trying to relate to a character. It allows the “thrill” of the suspense while enjoying an amazing book.

I love reading romances with suspense and mystery because I get wrapped up in the stories and the characters lives and I try to figure it out but I never do! The fact that our friends in the books are Christians makes it even better. Alexa is fantastic and I am happy to call her my friend.

I don’t read a lot of mystery/suspense books, but I think it’s because I haven’t found the right author. Because I love police/detective shows on TV. Criminal Minds, NCIS etc…

I love suspense books, dangerous or mysterious. I’ve been hooked since reading Enid Blyton’s Famous Five, then Nancy Drew & The Hardy Boys. My mom always said I should go outside & play & get some fresh air. So, I took my book outside & read. 😁 Pure escapism, that’s what it is.

I love the extra that suspense gives to a romance story. Or that romance gives to a suspense story. It is like have cookie dough in vanilla ice cream. It just makes it so much better.

I’ve always believed a good work of fiction will be based on reality… and let’s face it, life is full of unexpected surprises, both good and not so good. A good suspense brings out the best and worst in people offering a chance for redemption that is NOT a simple I’m Sorry.

I like suspense because it has that something more to keep you interested, than just a regular romance. There’s something to figure out and something to worry about (at least more than, will she get the guy, which they always do).

      Dear Alexa,
I love the romantic suspense genre, especially when it is faith-based. Your books are just that. They have mystery, intrigue, and suspense and characters who have the faith that is needed to continue life’s journey. Absolutely love your books. Cannot imagine a day without reading!
