Don’t forget these wonderful stories as well:

Show Me a Family for Christmas

A brokenhearted widower with a sad daughter. A secret bodyguard working as a nanny. Can they become an unlikely family this Christmas?

Since his wife died, all Conner Strauss wants is a big family, other children who might put a smile back on his little girl’s face. His wish might come true when his mother finally tells him who his biological father was. To get close to his new siblings and their children without giving himself away, he starts courting the family nanny.

Once jilted, Gwendolyn Meyers concentrated on her career as a bodyguard, eager to prove she’s just as good as her late father was. Now, as a simple favor to a friend, she’s working undercover as a nanny to protect the Clark family’s children after strange things started happening on their ranch. But when a stranger in town sparks her interest and his lonely daughter rouses her compassion, she might be given the chance at happiness where she least expected it. When she starts seeing shadows of her past, she’s determined to find the truth behind her father’s death. However, someone close to her is even more determined to keep secrets hidden forever…

Can love and a big noisy family heal two broken hearts this Christmas?

Welcome to Cowboy Crossing, a small town in the Show Me State where swoon-worthy single dad cowboys fall for strong-willed forty-something women, though sometimes those rugged handsome men might need a nudge—or a push.

Don’t Leave Me: A sweet, faith-filled second chances romance at Christmas

Can two people with wounded souls and secrets in their past find love during the most wonderful time of the year?

A DNA match leads Lara Margulis to a small coastal town in search of her father weeks before Christmas. She surprises herself by buying a beach house in need of repairs that reminds her of her childhood home. As an elite fitness trainer, she travels to her clients’ locations and never stays in one place for long. Can her handsome neighbor finally bring home to her heart?

After a tragic loss, Jason Carrington became a hermit. But when his lovely new neighbor needs his help with repairs, he finds himself spending a lot of time with her and gradually falling for her. However, she doesn’t intend to stay—or open herself for love. Will the truth behind her secret bring them closer—or tear them apart?

    Gabriel’s Secret

Unlike her relatives, who either joined the lucrative jewelry business or became thieves, rookie cop Ava Davis chose public service. Sent undercover on her first assignment to catch a notorious thief expected at the hotel in Christmas Tyme, Colorado, Ava intends to prove the police didn’t make a mistake by hiring her. With her family history looming over her, she doesn’t have time to reconnect with her childhood friend and first crush, Gabriel Lark.
After being wrongfully accused, former cop Gabriel wants nothing to do with the police and longs for restful holidays. But when a series of thefts at the hotel threaten his new livelihood, he needs Ava’s help to find the thief. Once deceived, can he trust her?
Then an extravagant hotel guest is murdered, her jewels missing, and Ava is attacked… Can Ava and Gabriel solve their issues-and the mystery-before Christmas? And all before something from Gabriel’s past can destroy his and Ava’s future…

    Noelle on the Run

Small-town nurse Noelle Rochester seems to have a target on her back since her elderly neighbor confided her murder suspicions. After the neighbor is killed and somebody starts following Noelle, she flees to her uncle in Christmas Tyme, Colorado. Nearly run off the road, she turns to a former private investigator, Juan Rivera. But is he ready for or capable of a case like hers?

After his fiancée’s death, Juan closed himself off to the world. But he can’t refuse help to a scared stranger, especially one who reminds him of the woman he’s grieving. Two dead bodies, one drive-by shooting, and one kidnaped pet later, Juan and Noelle need to solve the mystery before Christmas-or die trying.

Here’s a set of the two from above if you prefer, and just 99 cents for the three book set!

Dangerous Holidays: Christmas Suspense/Mysteries with Romance

I love talking to ours boys about the true meaning of Christmas. Growing up we always read Luke 1 Christmas morning before we started opening any presents. We have continued that with our boys. I also always make biscuits and sausage gravy for breakfast 😋

I loved the Dangerous Holidays boxed set.
One of the traditions I started with my sons was to make Christmas cookies with them. Now I have grandchildren & I’ve continued the tradition. Last year we made melting snowman cookies together.
After reading Little Women when I was young I loved Christmas stories. I can read them all year round.

My favorite tradition (a fairly recent beginning) for Christmas is: Staying Home!
For years and years we would travel an hour and a half in all kinds of weather on Christmas morning (sometimes the night before) over several mountains. One year, someone died in an icy crash just hours before we had to go over the same mountain.
The sad part is that now my parents are both gone as well as both my sisters so there is no family gathering any more.

We started making homemade pizza for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner when our children were small. We had turkey all year long because it was cheap and my family enjoyed it. Because my husband is a pastor, we weren’t able to travel to see family most years. Cooking a big holiday meal just made me homesick. Turns out that our children love that tradition!

I’ve read (not all) Alexa’s books and I’ve loved each story! They are wonderful and inspirational! And Christmas stories are always special because there’s always the spirit of God that heals us and saves us, of love and giving!
There’s a Christmas tradition I love, and it is this. After dinner we all gather together (adults and children in the family, aunts, uncles, nephews, etc) and the smallest kid brings a basket of candy. On top of it lies a beautiful image of Baby Jesus. So the child takes the basket to each family member so they can kiss the Baby Jesus, take a candy, and thank him for something he or she feels grateful to Jesus (something that happened in the year, for family, health, whatever). After finishing with everyone, we all unwrap our candy, and in one of the candies there’s a small note that says: I’m staying with you! The person (adult or children) who gets that surprise note, gets to keep the Baby Jesus on the basket. It’s usually a sweet figurine, not real sized, but a bit smaller. It’s a tradition I’ve always loved!

Reading Christmas stories shows traditions that others celebrate as well as God’s blessings and/or hope for those who may not know him. Reading Christmas stories no matter the time of year can remind me that God is always with us and puts people or circumstances in our lives to bring others to him through the story of Christ’s birth.

I love reading about Christmas partly because it is my favorite holiday, always has been. The giving to put a smile on others faces is so rewarding. Remembering the importance of the season makes me warm inside. I try to remember everyday, but honestly it doesnt happen. Over the years our traditions have changed slightly. For the last five years we have been in the empty nest syndrome. So my husband and I have come up with some traditions for just the two of us. And we have made it very special. When the kids were small, Christmas eve, we would all go to Christmas Eve service. Come home and have dinner of pizza (we didnt eat pizza all the time so it was a treat) and chocolate milk. Then Phil would read the christmas story and we would discuss it as a family. Then we would eat a lamb cake I had made and sing happy birthday to Jesus. Then they could open one gift. Christmas day, we made eggs and a coffee cake (that the kids make for their families to this day) We would go to my parents house and spend time with them. Then mid afternoon we would go to my husbands parents home. Long days.

As a nurse I worked 3-11 pm which left Christmas morning open for my two children when they were young and expecting Santa Claus. As they got older and I worked 7am until 3pm and we would alternate working on the holiday every other year. So, we would have a nice dinner on Christmas eve and open our presents after dinner.
